Question 1

What exactly is ceramic coating for wheels?

Accepted Answer

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your wheel surface, creating a hard, hydrophobic layer. It repels brake dust, road grime, and water — making your wheels significantly easier to clean and keeping them looking cleaner for longer.

Question 2

Why do you remove the wheels from the car?

Accepted Answer

Removing the wheels gives us full access to every surface — including the inner barrel, spokes, and back face — that would be impossible to properly decontaminate and coat while mounted. A wheels-off service is the only way to do it right.

Question 3

What does the decontamination process involve?

Accepted Answer

We perform a thorough chemical and mechanical decontamination to remove embedded brake dust, iron particles, road tar, and old product buildup. This step is critical — ceramic coating bonds directly to the wheel surface, so any contamination left behind will be sealed in permanently.

Question 4

Do you coat the inner barrel too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The inner barrel gets the same full decontamination and ceramic coating treatment as the face of the wheel. This is one of the key advantages of a wheels-off service.

Question 5

How long does the ceramic coating last?

Accepted Answer

With proper maintenance, the coating can last 1–2 years or more. Longevity depends on driving conditions, how often the wheels are cleaned, and the products used during maintenance washes.

Question 6

How much does the service cost?

Accepted Answer

The base price starts at $200 for a full set of 4 wheels. Price may vary based on wheel size and condition. Contact us directly for an accurate quote.

Question 7

What affects the final price?

Accepted Answer

Wheel size and overall condition are the two main factors. Heavily contaminated wheels or larger diameter wheels (21" and up) may require additional prep time, which can affect pricing. We'll give you a clear quote before any work begins.

Question 8

Is pick-up and delivery available, and what does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes — pick-up and delivery is available within a 15-mile radius for an additional $50. Outside of 15 miles, additional travel fees may apply. Contact us to confirm availability for your location.

Question 9

How do I book a service?

Accepted Answer

The easiest way is to call or text Najee directly at 714-829-5003, or send a DM on Instagram @am_jee55. You can also fill out the inquiry form on our Contact page and we'll get back to you promptly.

Question 10

Do I need to remove the tires before dropping off?

Accepted Answer

No — just remove the wheels from your vehicle. You do not need to dismount the tires. We handle everything from there.

Question 11

Where do I drop off my wheels?

Accepted Answer

Drop-off location is arranged directly with Najee. Contact us to confirm the current drop-off address or to arrange a meetup location that works for you.

Question 12

How long will my wheels be with you?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround time varies based on wheel condition, current schedule, and cure time required after coating. Contact us when booking for current availability and an estimated timeline.

Question 13

Can I drop off just 2 wheels instead of all 4?

Accepted Answer

Yes, partial sets are possible. Reach out to discuss pricing and scheduling for fewer than 4 wheels.

Question 14

Who removes the wheels from my car?

Accepted Answer

You do. We coat the wheels only — removing them from the vehicle is the customer's responsibility before drop-off.

Question 15

Who installs the wheels back on my car?

Accepted Answer

Installation, torqueing to spec, and wheel balancing are entirely the customer's responsibility. We strongly recommend having a professional shop handle reinstallation to ensure proper torque specs are met.

Question 16

Do you handle tire mounting or balancing?

Accepted Answer

No. Our service covers decontamination and ceramic coating only. Tire mounting and wheel balancing are not included and must be arranged separately.

Question 17

How should I maintain the coating after service?

Accepted Answer

Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaner and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes. Regular rinsing after drives — especially in dusty or brake-heavy conditions — will extend the life of the coating significantly.
